BELGRADE, Maine — The Town of Belgrade has announced a Special Town Meeting for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Center for All Seasons to address budget shortfalls and overages from the town’s six-month budget covering January 1 through June 30, 2026.

According to the town, the meeting has been recommended by Belgrade’s legal counsel and auditor prior to the commitment of taxes. Voters will be asked to consider a warrant article authorizing up to $35,209.25 to be appropriated from the town’s undesignated fund to cover the identified budget adjustments.

The meeting will also be available to watch via Zoom; however, the town notes that the virtual meeting will not be interactive, and only those attending in person will be able to vote.
